Augusta, Ga--This weekend, the GISA playoffs resume with Westminster back in the semifinals for the first time since 2014. An experienced team, the Wildcats feel like they've got a new attitude this season.
While they lost a couple of seniors from last year, but returned plenty of talent. Last year's loss in the quarterfinals left a sour taste in their mouths and have simply used that as motivation. With the pieces in place, they have had one goal all year.
"We just came back this year, determined. Our goal was to win state ever since the beginning. We want to keep this goal going. " said Noah Kershner
"We're more focused. Everybody just wants to achieve because a majority of our starting five are upper classmen. We just really want to win and just go out with a bang." added Jelani Watson Gayle
They take on Holy Spirit Prep Friday night as those games are being played at Mercer in Macon.
