Westminster girls play Cinderella role in GISA playoffs

Augusta, Ga--The GISA playoffs are in the Elite Eight and the Westminster girls are playing the role of Cinderella.

The Lady Wildcats have just a single senior, and have admittedly over achieved. Coach Greg Wilson and the ladies have done the little things to win games and now, are the Cinderella story enjoying the ride.

"I think they've over archived, I think they've gone quite a bit further then I thought they would and maybe even further then they thought they would. So, those kid of years are always fun and I think this is our 5th straight year in the Elite Eight so it's nice to be able to keep up the tradition" said Greg Wilson

"After Christmas everyone put in their own individual workouts, which makes the biggest difference, especially after breaks, becuase you either get better or you get worse over breaks" said Tess Newton

A tall order Friday for Westminster as they take on undefeated Holy Spirit Prep.
