Augusta, Ga--Yesterday we caught up with the Augusta Prep girls as they chase a fifth state title in a row. Well, they're not alone. The Westminster boys are trying to do the same thing as they head to Macon this weekend.
Not only has the program won four in a row, they own 10 GISA titles since 2000. This years team is a little different though and feature a lot of underclassmen. It hasn't slowed them down in the least as they've won the first two playoff games by a combined 14-0 score and have posted six straight shutouts. Pressure of five-peating? Maybe, maybe not
"There's some pressure of being champion again because we've done it before but I feel like every season is a new season and we don't see ourselves as particularly, we have the right to win again. We just see ourselves as another team trying to win just as much as any" said Ben Oldham
Westmisnter will square off with Hertiage in the semi's friday night. They beat them way back in March 1-0. Also remember, this is Mike Freace's final year as coach so Westminster wants to send him out in style
