Undated--The South Aiken girls soccer team claimed their second title in three years as they beat Eastside 4-1 Friday night.
Jordan Myers, Ally Bollig, and Megan Musick all scored first half goals as the Thoroughbreds dominated the Eagles in winning the title. South Aiken finished the year 19-0-1 with the lone tie coming in the first game of the year.
With the win, South Aiken claims their second Class 4-A state crown in three years.
In other playoff action, Augusta Prep girls and Westminster boys will both play for GISA crowns on Friday. The Cavaliers dominated Frederica 6-1 to make it to the finals. They'll now play Deerfield-Windsor in a rematch of last year's title game.
On the boys side, Westminster will gun for their sixth straight state title as they beat Heritage 1-0 at Mercer University. They'll now play Holy Spirit in the title game on Saturay, also in Macon
In baseball action, Thomas Jefferson is a win away from winning the GISA title after dominating First Presbyterian Christian 12-0. The Jags will go for the title Saturday morning needing just a single win.
Edmund Burke beat St. Andrew's 7-2 in game one of their best of three series. A win tomorrow by the Spartans give them a state title as well.
From the SCISA softball ranks, Augusta Christian beat Orangeburg Prep 19-10. The Lions are taking on Laurence Manning.
