Silver Bluff held the first day of its second annual football camp Friday night. The camp grew from about 60 participants in its first year to around 80 in it's second.
The Silver Bluff High School football staff, middle school coaches, and current Bull Dog players all worked with the kids aged 6 to 13 to teach them proper form and basic football fundementals.
Head coach De'Angelo Bryant is just one of many alumni who have gone to play in college. Other Bull Dog alumni include Demarcus Lawerence and current Miami Dolphin Cordrea Tankersley. It's been a collective effort to get the camp started and Bryant's leadership has been crucial in it's start.
"It wasn't just one of my goals. It was something that a lot of us as alumni of the school -- we talked about doing," said Bryant. "I was just so happy to be kind of at the forefront and bring everything to fruition."
The camp continues through tomorrow. The kids will have the chance to walk away with plenty of silver bluff give-aways as a reward for thier hard work.
