Aiken, SC--It's been a whirlwind few days for South Aiken product and Clemson pitcher Owen Griffith. Wednesday, Griffith was drafted in the 20th round by the Twins. Now, he's sold on the Twins and will sign to make a dream become reality. How he found out on the last day of the draft, take it away Owen.

"I was on the phone with my advisor and we were just talking about stuff that was about to happen and he was like, well dude, the Twins just drafted you, congrats. I was like really, he was like yeah, dude, start celebrating. I was with some friends and I didn't say anything when I got off the phone because they were on the draft tracker and they just looked at me, wide eyed and I'm like yeah guys, I'm a Minnesota Twins now." said Owen Griffth

Griffith is actually a converted catcher who really didn't start pitching til late in his high school career. Now, he heads to Florida to sign the pro contract and begin the next phase of his baseball career.
