New boxing club sending student to nationals

The Augusta River Region is the home to some of the world's top boxers like Paul Williams and Rayonta Witfield. Now, the next generation is getting help from some of those fighters.
James Forrest is the head boxing instructor at North Augusta Boxing Academy and Fitness. He's been an instructor there for 2 years. Boxing was his escape when he was younger, and he's now trying to give back.
"My life coming up wasn't easy," said Forrest. "So I wanted to make it easier for them."
Forrest enjoys making progress with his students. He works with a number of young boxers, including nationals bound DeAndre Basket.
"If I can get home to them, I can move them forward," Forrest added.
Forrest also gets help from former champ Paul "The Punisher" Williams.
The two coaches push all of their students to work and train harder than their competition.
"I just tell them you know, just rebuttal and let them know that no one's working harder than them. Their potential has to be higher than the next boxer in order to get to the place they want to be."
