Midland Valley drops Game 2 of state title series

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- For Midland Valley, there was only one option on Wednesday night: win. After losing in Game 1 of the state championship series versus Eastside, 11-1, the Mustangs had to win at home in Game 2 to extend the series. And then they had to win again. But even after coming back from a big deficit lat in the game, simple mistakes and missed opportunities proved to be costly.

Eastside managed to pull out a 8-7 win in 7 innings and hoisted up the class AAAA state championship trophy on Wednesday night.
