AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- It wasn't that long ago when Christian Keeling was getting buckets and a lot of them at Laney. Won a state title down on the boulevard. Now, after three years at Charleston Southern, there's one more collegiate stop for Keeling.

That being Chapel Hill and North Carolina. Keeling is back home for a little bit, but chomping and more then ready to see what he can do at the highest level of college hoops with one of the true blue blood programs. What stuck out most about the Heels, Roy Williams honesty on how keeling would fit in with the program.

"He's a very genuine dude so I mean, he kept it 100% with me. He laid out the depth chart and where the minutes are, and he said he needs scoring, rebounding, and experience. That's everything I have, so he convinced me and I was like, it's a true spot for me, a true opportunity, a big opportunity, and an opportunity I can't turn down" said Christian Keeling

"His tenacity man, he's relentless. He's always been that guy. He doesn't guy because he can rebound. Most complain and say pass me the ball, but Christian can rebound, dribble and he can score" said former coach Jerry Hunter

Keeling left his mark on the Charleston Southern program and was a star there, but always wanted a shot with the big boys. Having already graduated, he can play right away on tobacco road.
