ATHENS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Georgia backup quarterback, Justin Fields is tranferring to Ohio State, according to Letterman Row's, Jeremy Birmingham.
Birmingham said Fields is expected to move in this weekend, ahead of OSU's first week of classes. This will allow the former five-star prospect to participate in the Buckeyes spring training and practices.
Fields also considered Oklahoma, UCLA and Florida State, but in the end, his relationship with Buckeye quarterback, Dwayne Haskins seems to have drawn him to Columbus. Fields and Haskins train with the same qb coach in Atlanta.
Fields could be dealing with the same quarterback competition at Ohio State, as Haskins still hasn't declared for this year's NFL Draft.
Fields played in 12 games this season for the Bulldogs.
The freshman quarterback, completed 27 of 39 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. He rushed 42 times for 296 yards and four touchdowns.
