NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Last season was a so-so year for Fox Creek on the football field. The Preds finished 4-6 on the season. They had a few bright spots though - like a couple of blowout wins and some close losses.

But it's a new year and a new season is on the horizon, and the Preds have a new head coach, too, LaFayette Stewart Junior.

The team has a lot to build off of and Coach Stewart says what he's seen so far from the squad is promising.

"This team has a lot of potential. We just have to tap into that potential." said Coach Stewart. "We have to get bigger, faster, stronger and definitely build on our football IQ. If we do those things, we'll be successful"

The team is getting ready for their spring game on May 23.
