Athens, Ga- Four Georgia Bulldogs have decided to skip their senior season and declare for the NFL draft.
Running back Elijah Holyfield, wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Riley Ridley and tight end Isaac Nauta all have made their intentions known Friday afternoon.
Nauta was third on the team with 30 catches for 430 yards and three touchdowns this season. His top game of the season came against Florida, when he had five catches for 73 yards.
Receiver Mecole Hardman is tossing his name in the NFL Draft as well. He went for seven touchdowns and over 500 yards receiving.
Ridley led the team in receiving with 9 touchdowns and 570 receiving yards and made several huge catches during the season
For Holyfield, his damage was done out of the backfield and went over the 1000 yard mark in the Sugar Bowl. He ends up with seven touchdowns to go along with all the yardage and was second to D'Andre Swift.
Kirby Smart issued this statement Friday, “We wish the best to Mecole Hardman, Elijah Holyfield, Isaac Nauta and Riley Ridley as they pursue their careers at the next level. All four of these juniors contributed significantly to our success during the last two seasons and we look forward to them making the best out of their shot at the NFL. As with all our players, we also will encourage them to complete their degrees to get prepared for the next chapter of their lives.”
