Evans, Ga--With the high school basketball season winding down, a lot of seniors are trying to soak up the moment while pushing to get their teams to states. At Greenbrier, that fits the bill for Richard Crawford. One of the standout players in the area, Crawford has left a mark on the program.

He's gone over the 1000 point barrier for his career and has signed to play at Georgia College. A rare, four year varsity player, Crawford has only been getting better as the year's have rolled on. It was a couple of seasons ago when he feels he made the biggest jump with the caliber of his play.

"Probably my 10th grade, going to my 11th grade summer" said Richard Crawford

Why?

"That summer I just trained so hard and actually I got a call from Nike EYBL team and I was able to join that team" said Crawford

"We've had good players here, we've had what I've thought were good leaders here, but the example he has given, I've never had a target that high that I could always provide to other kids" said Casey Heckathorn

Coach Casey Heckathorn went on to say Crawford does everything well, on and off the court and that's what has separated him from others.
