Confident Westminster group has one goal, win a state title

Augusta, Ga--Once again the area is loaded with talented girls basketball teams. Josey is undefeated, laney and north augusta, yup, they are right there. One team flying under the radar comes from the independent ranks at westminster.

The lady cats are off quick with a 9-2 record and those two losses to lakeside and evans, much bigger schools. This team is on a mission to win a title. With six seniors the talent pool is there to do just that. Of course playing in the moment is big and they're just focusing on what they do best.

"They play for each other. I think that's something you hear on the professional ranks and the college ranks. You'll hear athletes talk about that. When that happens, it's really transformational." Greg Wilson said.

"All of us seniors, we all have a different role that we play on the team, whether it's on the bench or on the court."Ashley Davis said.

Coach greg wilson even went as far as saying he'd be surprised if they didn't win a title this season.
