(WRDW/WAGT) -- No doubt, it's been a disappointing year for Clemson, following their run to the Sweet 16 last season.

After bowing out of the ACC Tournament early last week, the Tigers dream of making it back to the big dance was killed. But their seaon is not over, as today they were selected to the NIT.

Clemson is a no. 2 seed and will face no. 7 seed, Wright State on Tuesday. This will be the Tigers second time playing in the NIT in the past three seasons.

The Tigers were bounced by Oakland in the opening round in 2017.

As for the Gamecocks, they'll miss out on the post-season for the second year in a row.
