Charleston, SC--When Laney product Christian Keeling put his name in the transfer portal to leave Charleston Southern. He was hoping for a shot at a big time Division One program. Soon to be graduate has one year left of eligibility and can play right away. He was originally going to wait until mid may before announcing his choice.
That all changed with one visit to North Carolina and with coach Roy Williams. The decision came soon after and now, he's off to become a Tar Heel in the fall. Ever since suiting up for Laney, he wanted to play for a power five program. Through hard work and a ton of dedication, that dream becomes reality.
"Honestly it is a blue blood and it's my dream school growing up so that even made it sweeter. But you know, it had to be the right fit. It had to be the right fit in all aspects. It had to check off all my boxes, if it did, it did, if it didn't ,I would have never went there." said Christian Keeling
The really impressive thing keeling has done. Graduate in three years. Takes a pretty special student athlete to pull that feet off as well!
