USC Aiken take two from Francis Marion, men remain perfect in conference play

AIKEN, S.C. - The University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team placed five student-athletes in double figures in the 82-63 victory over Francis Marion Wednesday evening.

The Pacers are now 9-6 on the year and 5-0 in league play.

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team was led by Damontez Oliver's team-high 17 points. Dhieu Deing added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds to go along with five assists. Shaquan Jules posted 16 points and seven rebounds while Faison Brock notched 14 points and 11 boards.

Gus Rowland tallied 11 points, six assists and four steals. Robert Hill chipped in four points, five rebounds and a game-best five blocks.

The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team notched a 61-41 victory over Francis Marion Wednesday evening.

The Pacers are now 8-5 on the year and 3-2 in league play. The Patriots stand at 5-5 overall and 1-3 against PBC foes.

Head coach Mark Miller's team was led by Alex Canady and Melyk Taouil as each connected for 19 points. Alexis Mack totaled 11 points while Kwajelin Farrar accounted for eight points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Canady was dominant throughout, tallying eight boards, four assists and four steals. Taouil snagged seven rebounds while registering a game-best six thefts.
