With 1:50 remaining, Myers hit a layup to lift the Jags on top 69-63. After Monteiro made one of two free throws later on, the Braves buried another trey to make it 72-69, but Augusta dribbled out the ball to expire the clock and win a big conference game on the road.
The lead changed six times and there were nine tied scores in the contest. Each team matched 30 points in the paint and 20 second-chance points, but Augusta had 10 fast break buckets to UNCP's two.
