BEECH ISLAND, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A man paid a visit to a Beech Island convenience store over the weekend, not knowing that one of the tickets he bought would make him $125,000 richer.
According to officials with the South Carolina Lottery, two best friends were hanging out, scratching lottery tickets, when one of the friends realized his was a winner.
The friend who didn't win the money has a sense of humor about his friend's new fortune.
"It made me mad!"
There were no hard feelings, and the winner says he plans to do something nice for his not-so-lucky friend.
"It was my lucky day," said the winner, who chose to remain anonymous.
The ticket was sold at Ye Olde Grocery at 4444 Jefferson Davis Highway. The store received a commission of $1,250.
One final $125,000 prize remains in the Rapid 7 Doubler game in the Palmetto State.
