Urgent Care to open at AUMC

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Another quick, affordable care center will soon be available to Augusta residents.

Perfect Health Urgent Care opens Monday at Augusta University Medical Center. It is located at Entrance A on the first floor of AUMC.

Dr. Troy Coon is one of the ER physicians who own the new clinic.

“With the shortage of general practitioners in the field today, patients suffering from a fever or flu symptoms may have to wait weeks to see their usual family doctor. And emergency rooms are plagued with long wait times,” said Dr. Coon.

There will be no appointment necessary for patients looking for care at the clinic.

Patients will be accepted starting Monday at 10:00 a.m. The clinic closes daily at 8:00 p.m.
