Two women facing charges for cruelty to children and animals

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Two women are facing multiple charges of cruelty to children and aggravated cruelty to animals following their indictment.

Monquetta Holder was said to have left two children under the age of 18 years alone with little to eat in a home that was deemed deplorable by the Augusta Richmond County Code Enforcement Officers.

In addition, both Monquetta and Treanna are facing charges of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals. Reports state several dogs were not provided adequate nutrition. Two dogs were found deceased in the home. One was said to have been found among a pile of clothes in a bedroom and another dog was said to have been found in a hallway near a bedroom.
