Firefighter injured when oxygen tanks explode in house fire

UPDATE: 10:30PM

CLEARWATER, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Midland Valley Fire Department confirms one of their firefighters was injured while fighting a house fire in Clearwater.

Two oxygen tanks exploded, knocking the firefighter back. He was taken to the hospital, treated for a concussion, and released.

Fire crews say there were two points of origin for the fire, one in the shed and one in the house. Investigators suspect foul play.

There has been a previous fire this year at this address.

CLEARWATER, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Fire officials are working to put out a house fire in the Clearwater area. Crews tell us the intersection of
Belvedere and Augusta Road are shut down.

That fire is at a home on the 4000 block of Augusta Road.
The Aiken County Sheriff's office confirms the flames took over the house and the backyard shed.

We're told everyone made it out safely.

The call came in at 5:21 p.m.
