AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Tornado Watch that was in effect for portions of the CSRA has expired, and the On Your Side Weather Team says the severe weather threat has ended in the CSRA.

UPDATE: 10:00 p.m.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- We are learning of reports of trees down in our area.
Richmond County dispatch says they are working power lines down on Mike Padgett Hwy and Tobacco Road. They also say they have reports of trees down on Prattwood Drive and Fury's Ferry Road.
Aiken County dispatch confirms they are working trees down on Storm Branch Road and CCC Road. There is also reports of trees down on Cemetery Road.
McCormick County Emergency Services says they are learning of significant damage across the county. They say most damage is sustained to trees down and power lines down. They say they have not received reports of any injuries.
UPDATE: 9:00 p.m.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Georgia Power is reporting nearly a thousand outages in our viewing area due to the storm.
There are about 850 outages reported in Columbia County, 250 in Richmond County, 200 in Lincoln County and nearly 100 in McDuffie County.
SCEG is also reporting several power outages in South Carolina. There are nearly 100 outages in McCormick County and more than 100 in Saluda County.
UPDATE: 8:30 p.m.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The tornado warning for central Wilkes County has been cancelled. A watch is still in effect for areas across the CSRA.
The tornado watch is for Lincoln, McDuffie, Columbia, and Richmond counties in GA, and McCormick County SC until Midnight EST.
A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes. Know where you will take shelter if a warning is issued.
UPDATE: 8:00 p.m.
WILKES COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for central Wilkes County until 8:45 p.m. This includes the city of Washington and Tignall.
The National Weather Service says a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Newtown, or near Washington, moving east at 40 mph.
Locations impacted include:
Washington, Tignall, Jacksons Crossroads, Mallorysville, Newtown,
Delhi, Danburg, Celeste, Metasville and Floral Hill.
People in the area are advised to take shelter now in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Georgia and South Carolina.
According to the National Weather Service the watch is in effect until 12 a.m. for the following counties in Georgia:
