Teen hit by SUV while biking in North Augusta

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A 13-year-old boy is in the hospital after being hit by a SUV in North Augusta.

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers say around 12:10 p.m. on Sunday, a 13-year-old boy was biking on 2nd Street and about to pull onto Duncan Road. A 2003 GMC SUV was driving south on Duncan Road when it hit the teen.

The teen was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV, a female, was not injured in the crash. Aiken County deputies also responded, assisting with traffic control.
