UPDATE | Woman Found Dead in Home Identified

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- According to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen, a 25-year-old woman found dead in her home October 30 has been identified as Letesha Taylor.

Authorities say autopsy results on Taylor could take several weeks; however, they say she appeared to be dead for several hours prior to her body being found.

The discovery was made at the Trinity Manor Apartments on the 2300 block of Barton Chapel Road. Taylor was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. Her four-year-old daughter was inside the home and was transported to the hospital for observation.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The coroner's office is investigating the death of a 25-year-old female found in an apartment on the 2300 block of Barton Chapel Road.

She was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. The coroner says it appears she was dead for several hours before being found.

The coroner tells us the woman's 4-year-old child was found inside the home. The 4-year-old was taken to Augusta University Children's Medical Center to be checked.

The woman's body will be sent to the GIB Lab for an autopsy.
