Suspect wanted after woman shot in stomach in January

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man they believe is connected to a shooting that happened on Plantation Road in January.

A woman was shot in the stomach on Jan. 13th on the 2400 block of Plantation Road.

Officials say 2-3 black male suspects allegedly followed the victim's son and his friend home after getting in a fight at a different location. One of the suspects fired into the residence on Plantation Road, hitting the victim.

Deputies are searching for Dwight Hill, Junior, for his alleged involvement in that shooting. The Aggravated Assault suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Hill is known to hang around Boykin Road and the Woodlake Club Apartments on 1020 Amli Way, in Augusta.
