Sprouts recalls frozen spinach product over Lysteria concerns

(WRDW/WAGT) -- The Food and Drug Agency is announcing a recall of a product sold at Sprouts Farmers Markets.

Sprouts Frozen Cut Leaf Spinach, 16oz. bag, is being recalled in multiple states over a concern for Lysteria. Two states included are Georgia and South Carolina.

The organic version of the same product is also under recall.

No one has gotten sick from the product, but the company is being careful.

The labels are as follows:

Sprouts Frozen Cut Leaf Spinach, 16oz. bag, UPC 87487500982, Lot 19031203A03, USE BY 12/03/21.

Sprouts Frozen Organic Cut Leaf Spinach, 16oz. bag, UPC 87487500991, Lot 19031203A03, USE BY 12/03/21.

People who have purchased the products are urged to destroy or return it to the stores for a full refund of the product.
