AUGUSTA, GA -- About two months ago, the first round of football recruits made their commitments official. Today, and this week, the rest are putting pen to paper to continue their foootball playing days. Some heading to prominant division one programs. That was the case at Jefferson County. KJ Jenkins knew he was going to be a Boilermaker for some time and had his entire family supporting his decision.

"That means the world to me. I love my family, they're here to support me, I know when I get to Purdue they're still going to support me through whatever." said Jenkins.

Donovan Anthony is a small town kid who stared at Washington Wilkes. His future will take him to a higher calling at West Point and be part of Army's program.

"This is a life changing experience. I've been waiting on this moment since forever. I've been waiting to get to West Point, my dream school, and I'm really excited and ready to get the journey started." said Anthony.

Waiting paid dividends for Saluda state champion Dallan Wright who received an offer from Virginia Tech over the weekend. Regardless of what their school of choice is, it's a day that basically left some kids near speechless.

"Today means a lot to me actually. I've been waiting for this point in life. My coaches, my peers have lead me to this point. I'm really happy to be able to play at the next level," said Fox Creek's CJ Tillman.

A D I scholarship is the most sought after, but playing at any level and getting scholarship money is a big deal. Jaden Blount of Aquinas is headed to one of the more storied programs in D II, Valdosta State, after decommitting from Mercer.

"That was a non factor. I mean football is football and I'm just glad to play at the next level. I'm just blessed to be in this situation," said Blount.

One player's acheivement can be the building point for a program, and that's what Markell Ware and Ronald Coleman hope happens for their schools.

"Instead of it being a one time thing, we can have 5 or 6 going at a time. So hopefully they can build off what we're starting," said Cross Creek's Ware.

"It's really just a compliment to Coach Harrell for his great coaching and the great coaching staff that we have. And as long as you put in the work this should be the outcome for almost anybody," said Coleman.

There were plenty of other signings with several rivals, becoming teammates at erskine..little did they know when they squared off against each other this season, they'd wear the same uniform somewhere together down the line.

This list will continue to grow even past today's national day. Division one players can sign as late as April 1st, while division II signees have until august 1st to sign their letters of intent.
