Shooting investigation at Forest Ridge Apartments

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects after a person was shot at an Augusta apartment complex.

It happened at 9:41 a.m. at Forest Ridge Apartments, off Mike Padgett Highway.

Deputies say a man was shot in the head and transported to a local hospital. We do not know their condition, but the sheriff's office says the injury is life-threatening.

Deputies say two black men fled the scene. One was wearing a multicolored shirt, red shorts, and a hat.
