School closings and delays due to threat of severe weather

UPDATE: 10:28 p.m.

ALLENDALE COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Students at all Allendale County schools will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday due to the threat of severe weather.

The district says all staff members will be dismissed at 12 noon.

UPDATE: 9:46 p.m.

BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Barnwell School District 45 is implementing early dismissal on Wednesday due to the threat of severe weather.

According to school board member Valenda Black, students at Barnwell Primary School and Barnwell Elementary School will be released at 10:30 a.m.

Students at Guinyard- Butler Middle School and Barnwell High School will be released at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.

MCCORMICK COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The McCormick County School District says all classes are canceled for Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

School leaders made that decision after a meeting with the National Weather Service and Emergency Management staff said Jackie Brown, Director of Finance for McCormick County Schools.

The plan is to resume classes Thursday, April 6, 2017.

Brown said Monday, April 24, 2017 will serve as a make-up day for students.
