NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- If you've received a phone call from anyone claiming to be an employee from the Public Service Commission looking to give you a refund, it could be a phony call.
The Public Service Commission of South Carolina stated in a release that some members of the community are getting phone calls from people claiming to be the Public Service Commission and they want to discuss refunding customers of SCE&G.
The phony refund is in reference to the refunds that customers are receiving from the SCANA, Dominion merger.
The Public Service Commission of South Carolina would like to remind customers that employees will not contact a member of the public about a potential refund.
Any customer who has received a call should contact their local law enforcement agency.
