AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The spokesperson for the Richmond County School System says Moran has been placed on administrative leave without pay pending termination.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A former Thomson Police officer has been arrested after allegedly using and selling drugs with Gretchen Moran.
30-year-old Ashley Hunter is charged with Use of Communication Device for a Felony, and two counts of Violation of Oath by a Public Officer.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A Richmond County BOE Public Safety officer has been arrested and faces charges after she allegedly violated her oath of office.
Officer Gretchen Moran reported her duty weapon and equipment were stolen from her assigned BOE patrol car on January 17th. This is the second time she reported stolen items.
The first time was on September 20, 2018, when she said the light bar and hubcaps were also stolen off of her assigned patrol car.
While investigating, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office discovered Moran and a former Thomson Police Department officer, Ashley Hunter, were involved in drug use and sales.
Moran was arrested and charged on Tuesday.
Moran is charged with Violation of Oath of Office and Use of Communication Device in Committing a Felony.
