AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- TiffanyJ is using her personal experiences and her children's book to make a difference.

"My slogan for myself is nobody can do 'me' better than me," she says.

TiffanyJ is the creative mind behind "Super Beauty". She created the children's book to promote self love among kids.

Her character, Super Beauty, was made into a pep-talking plush doll. She says motivation is a squeeze away. "She doesn't look like anything in the stores, but they automatically say she's cute and she's beautiful."

Hearing that is special to TiffanyJ because she modeled Super Beauty after a younger version of herself.

When she was growing up, TiffanyJ didn't hear those nice things. "I was an academic achiever but still wasn't comfortable in my own skin," she says.

She battled depression for years. "I contemplated suicide several times in life."

It wasn't until she was in her late 20's she was able to turn the page.

TffanyJ says, "You have to work until you get to a place where you are comfortable with you." Through Super Beauty, TiffanyJ wants to make sure no other child experiences what she did.

"As long as we are changing lives internally and in the community. I'm pleased," she says.
