RIO DE JANIERO (NBC/AP/WRDW/WAGT) -- Ryan Lochte may be heading back to Brazil after police say they're filing charges.
He is accused of filing a false police report after vandalizing a Rio gas station and claiming it was an armed robbery.
Police officials say he will be called to appear before a Brazilian judge, but may send a lawyer instead.
If convicted, the Olympic swimmer could face between one to six months in jail, or pay a fine.
Despite being dropped by some sponsors, Lochte has picked up another endorsement. A cough drop company is endorsing the swimmer, and is asking the public to forgive him.
