UPDATE | Four men arrested on murder and weapons charges in Deans Bridge Road shooting indicted

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Four men have been indicted in connection to the shooting death of James Robinson, II.

With indictments takings place Tuesday, Aug. 22, Corie Rawkwon Simpson is indicted with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer.

James Leroy Dandy has been indicted with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Kyle Christopher Simpson has been indicted with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime aggravated assault, while Kevin Lee Stewart has been is indicted with murder possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and aggravated assault.

James A. Robinson II, 34, of Augusta died of a single gunshot wound according to Coroner Mark Bowen. He was pronounced dead on May 30 at 2:22 p.m.

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Investigators have arrested four men in connection to the shooting death of James Robinson, II.

James Leroy Dandy, 34, of Graniteville; Kevin Lee Stewart, 34, of Sardis; Corie Rawkwon Simpson, 21, of Augusta; and Kyle Christopher Simpson, 17, of Augusta; are all charged with murder and possession of a firearm during a crime.

Dandy and Corie Simpson are facing additional charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Corie Simpson is also facing an additional charge of felony order to show cause.

James A. Robinson II, 34, of Augusta died of a single gunshot wound according to Coroner Mark Bowen. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:22 p.m.

An autopsy will be scheduled on Robinson later this week.

All suspects have been located and booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center. Investigators have not yet released details about what prompted the shooting.

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The victim who was shot on the 4200 block of Deans Bridge Road in Hephzibah earlier Monday afternoon has been identified.

James A. Robinson II, 34, of Augusta died of a single gunshot wound according to Coroner Mark Bowen. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:22 p.m.

An autopsy will be scheduled on Robinson later this week.

Investigators have not yet released details about what prompted the shooting or if there were any suspects.



3:19 p.m.

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Richmond County Sheriff's Office confirms they are on the scene of a homicide on the 4200 block of Deans Bridge Road in Hephzibah.

We're learning from Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen that at least one person is dead. The incident happened just after 2 p.m. Monday.

Details about the shooting including any possible suspects are not immediately available. We're working to gather more information.

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Investigators are on the scene of a shooting on the 4200 block of Deans Bridge Road in Hephzibah where one person was shot.

According to Richmond County dispatch, the extent of injuries for the victim is currently unknown at this time.

The call came in just after 2 p.m. and investigators are just getting to the scene.
