UPDATE | Suspect charged with murder in Ridgeview Apartments shooting death

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Investigators have arrested a man in connection to a murder that occurred Thursday afternoon at Ridgeview Manor apartment complex.

According to North Augusta Public Safety, 27-year-old Allen Michael Johnson of North Augusta is being charged with murder in the death of 19-year-old Daquan Bostic.

Johnson is currently being housed in the Aiken County Detention Center.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- One man is dead after a shooting today (Jan 18, 2018).

Authorities say 19-year-old Daquan Bostic of Augusta died from gunshot wounds. Officer responded to Ridgeview Manor apartments around 1 p.m. in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, Bostic was pronounced dead at the scene.

This incident remains under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Daquan Bostic on the morning of January 19, 2018.

Officers say they found one adult male dead on the scene from apparent gunshot wounds.

They describe the shooting suspect as a light-skinned black male wearing a blue hoodie. The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous.
