RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A pedestrian struck overnight on Deans Bridge Road has been identified.

According to Coroner Mark Bowen, 60-year-old Nathan George Braddy was struck by a truck around 6:55 p.m. at the cross street of Murphy Road.

Braddy was transported to Augusta University Medical Center where he died from his injuries at 7:33 p.m. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the accident, and no autopsy will be done.

Richmond County Coroner's Office says Braddy was homeless. His family has been notified. This is the third pedestrian accident resulting in death in Richmond County in the last three weeks.

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Authorities say a person crossing the intersection of Deans Bridge Road at Murphy Road has died.

The pedestrian was struck by a truck and transferred to AU Medical Center where he died.

An investigation is currently underway, until then, identities remain withheld. Stay tuned to News 12 as this is a developing story.
