UPDATE | Search ends for Lulu's armed robbery suspect, schools notified

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Aiken Department of Public Safety has called off the active search for an armed robbery suspect, but they say no one is in custody.

As the search ends, ADPS says they've told schools they're done searching.

Kennedy Middle School, Millbrook Elementary School, South Aiken High School, and Millbrook Church daycare all remain on soft lockdown.

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Aiken's Department of Public Safety is responding to an armed robbery at Lulu's Car Wash on East Pine Long Road.

Officers say store clerks were removing money from the kiosks when they were approached by a white male suspect with a handgun. The clerk reportedly gave the suspect money.

Officials also say Kennedy Middle School, Millbrook Elementary School, South Aiken High School, and Millbrook Church daycare are all on soft lockdown.
