NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- "This is called the Ironwood project. It's a 280 multi-family unit,” said Brad Wasden, Project Assistant Superintendent with Land South Construction.

If you are a big GreenJackets fan or just looking for a nice view these apartments could be the place for you.

"These are going to be very nice apartments. Very nice amenities. Inside, all the granite counter tops, the pool area and all that stuff. It's going to be very nice."

Brad Wasden is one of the leads on this project. He says two 4-story buildings and nine 2-story buildings make up ironwood.

Although construction is far from over some of these places are already being rented.

"Three of the J5 units, these carriage houses, are occupied around the corner here."

They’re the ones closest to Hammond’s Ferry. Each of the units has their own garage. Inside wooden floors and granite countertops.

Upstairs a laundry room and 2 bedrooms both with their own bathroom.

Even though this apartment complex won’t be completely finished until around January of next year, some people are already moving in.

We’ll actually build temporary doors to block the corridors and we'll continue working on the section and some people will move on in. I think they have one or two of them already rented out."

These unfinished hallways more evidence there's still a lot of work to be done. But the complex is catching people’s attention.

"I love it. I love what I'm doing and it's neat to see it go up, neat to see the people that are interested to come by."

One of the 2 story apartment is supposed to be ready sometime next week and there's already someone waiting to move in and some of them have Riverview. These apartments run anywhere from the high 900s to over 18-hundred dollars.
