THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT)-- More than 100 employees are left in limbo after Georgia-Pacific Thomson was forced to close its doors for good. Now, other businesses are looking to help.

Gold Cross EMS is one of those companies. COO Steven Vincent released a statement Saturday afternoon saying the company has immediate openings for Medical Transportation Drivers.

All training will be provided to potential employees, so no prior experience is necessary, according the company statement.

Additionally, Gold Cross is hosting EMS academy classes start July 8th that run for 16 weeks. Those who complete the course would be eligible for an EMT position. Tuition assistance is available.
