UPDATE| Cause of death identified in crash near Plant Vogtle

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Burke County Sheriff's Office confirms that the cause of death of the driver who died in a crash near Plant Vogtle 3 & 4 was in fact due to a medical emergency.

Reports said that 57-year-old Robert Joseph Miswell of Sulpher, Louisiana most likely died of a heart attack.

This was a single vehicle crash.

Mr. Miswell's family has been notified.

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Burke County Sheriff's Office says at least one person is dead after a crash near Plant Vogtle 3 & 4.

It happened on River Road near the entrance to Vogtle Friday morning. One car was involved in the crash, and the driver seems to have suffered medical problems, causing the crash and their death.

The Burke County coroner is headed to the scene.
