AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- People talk endlessly about the prestige of winning a green jacket at Augusta National Golf Club, but what about the other thing that people ask about?

Yes, as we said late last week, it pays to play at the Masters.

But what if you're the man to win the jacket and the glory? Well, you get paid a cool $2,070,000 out of an $11.5 million pot.

So, Tiger Woods, who is already worth over $800 million according to Forbes, got a little drop in the bucket on Sunday after pulling off his fifth Masters victory.

It's a far cry from his first victory in 1997 where Tiger walked away with $486,000. Adjusted for inflation, that's about $769,733.16 in 2019.

But let's go back even further to 1986 when Jack Nicklaus won his final Masters Tournament. Back then, he left Augusta with $144,000 in his pocket. Inflation adjusted, that's $333,988.03 in 2019.

Golf might be an expensive hobby for many, but it's definitely a good living for others.
