UPDATE| Arrest made in connection with armed robbery in Aiken

AIKEN, SC (WRDW/WAGT) -- Aiken officials have made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery at a Bank of America ATM.

The robbery happened on Wednesday, January 2nd according to reports. An unidentified man was said to have approached the victim while he was at an ATM and demanded money.

They say 18-year-old Chyvas Lekie Joyner of Allendale, S.C. has been identified as the unidentified man. He is in currently in jail on unrelated charges.


Joyer will be taken to the Aiken County jail and be charged with Armed Robbery after he completes his charges in Allendale County.

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Aiken Department of Public Safety is searching for an unidentified man who robbed an individual with a weapon at an ATM on Wednesday.

The unidentified man allegedly approached the victim while he was at a Bank of America ATM on Richland Ave West and demanded money. After the suspect received the money, he got in a waiting vehicle and left.
