UPDATE | Authorities extradite suspects to Barnwell County Jail

BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Authorities in Knoxville Tennessee arrested Ricky Williams and Teresa Luna a few weeks ago, but they remained in Tennessee.

Now, authorities have extradited the suspects and booked them into the Barnwell County Jail.

According to officials, Tennessee authorities did not have any charges on the couple, so they started the extradition process back to Barnwell County just a few weeks ago.

Williams was wanted for the July 23 murder of George L.Grimes on Fairway Lane.

Authorities said Luna is going to be charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Authorities in Knoxville Tennessee have arrested Ricky Williams and Teresa Luna.

Williams was wanted for the July 23 murder of Grimes on Fairway Lane.

Authorities say Luna is going to be charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

According to officials, Tennessee authorities do not have any charges on the couple, so they will start the extradition process back to Barnwell County as soon as possible.

BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Barnwell County Sheriff's Office is continuing their investigation of a man found dead in a car on Fairway Lane on Sunday.

Sheriff Ed Carroll tells News 12 NBC 26 that his office was called to the scene at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, where they found George Grimes dead of a gunshot wound.

An arrest warrant was issued for Ricky Lamont Williams, whom they believe to be the shooter. At the time of this writing, he's still not in custody.

Two other people, James Anderson Langford and Summer Marie Padgett were arrested and charged with accessory before the fact.

BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Barnwell County Coroner's Office is investigating a death that happened at 461 Fairway Lane in Barnwell, SC.

Officials say the body of George L. Grimes was found inside a car just before 7 o'clock last night. We are told his death is being investigated as a homicide.

Grimes's autopsy is scheduled for today.
