UPDATE | Suspect arrested in deadly shooting on Fayetteville Drive in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Investigators have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection to a shooting overnight at the Sierra Point Apartments on Fayetteville Drive.
Investigators say they learned Anthony Kyle Butler was the shooter of 22-year-old Michael Alonzo Cooper. Butler is facing charges of murder, aggravated assault, and firearm possession during a crime. Investigators also learned that prior to the deadly shooting, Butler reportedly had also pointed the same firearm at another uninjured, unnamed victim.
Cooper was transported to Augusta University Medical Center for treatment and later died shortly before 10:30 p.m.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- One man has died after an overnight shooting on the 1800 block of Fayetteville Drive in Augusta.
According to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen, the incident happened around 6:45 p.m. Sunday. The victim, 22-year-old Michael Cooper was shot at least one time.
Cooper was taken to Augusta University Medical Center where he died just before 10:30 p.m. His body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur for an autopsy.
The Richmond County Coroner's Office and the Richmond County Sheriff's Office are still investigating the incident. No details about any possible suspects have been given at this time.
