AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- The man accused of making a bomb threat against the Augusta National Golf Club has been formally indicted.

Robert Beckum, 58, allegedly left a note in a bathroom stall in the Circle K on Wheeler Road threatening to bomb the course back on March 25.

Beckham was indicted on charges of transmitting a false public alarm.

The note also contained the name of an individual who would allegedly carry out the bomb threat.

Beckum admitted to police he wrote the note using someone else’s name and admitted that it was a hoax.
