AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Driving down Lumpkin Road, you might think little tan house is just any old house.

"It was an entirely different world," said Kathryn Barrett. "We had to have a flyer to get into our yard. They wouldn't let anyone in, everything was blocked off,"

But for Kathryn Barrett, her house is famous. "I was like oh my gosh, that's our house!" she said.

Yep it was her house alright. It's right across the street from a beautiful white house surrounded by rows of daylilies.

Any other day of the year, the white house is called "Shaw's Sunshine Gardens", but when "The Mule" was in town, it was Clint Eastwood's home.

"It's just crazy to think we sat in our yard, and we were literally two feet away from Clint Eastwood, it was nuts," said Barrett.

Film crews went all over Augusta for several days as they shot the film downtown, in Harrisburg, and in South Augusta.

The film's trailer, seen below, shows just how dramatic the transformations were. Many scenes you might not recognize though. After crews were done in Augusta, they packed up and headed for Atlanta to continue filming.

But for Kathryn, seeing her little brown house on Lumpkin Road take center change is unforgettable.

"It was crazy just to know that they filmed right here," said Barrett.
