AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Kellogg Company selling off its Keebler cookie operations could mean changes for the Augusta plant, according to a release from the company.

In an announcement declaring their agreement with confection maker Ferrero to sell their Keebler operations, Kellogg said the transaction includes production facilities in Augusta, Kentucky, Washington, and Illinois.

The $1.3 billion transaction also includes brands like Famous Amos, Murray's, and even cookies manufactured for the Girl Scouts of the USA.
