Husband in custody after standoff in Thomson

THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A man is in custody following a standoff police are calling a "family disturbance" in Thomson.

Jonathan Wooten was arrested without incident Monday morning before being taken to the hospital to be evaluated. Wooten is the husband in the situation.

The incident happened Sunday at a home in the Tanyard Creek Subdivision.

Major Ronnie Williamson says Wooten and his wife got into a heated argument which led to gunfire. According to Williamson, the husband fired shots but not directly at his wife.

No one was injured.
