AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- Two people charged in the death of Drew Cato, IV have pleaded guilty and received life sentences on Thursday.

Devon Stringfield and Blaeke Wolfe appeared in court to issue their pleas in the case.

Both got life sentences with the possibility of parole.

Stringfield and Wolfe apologized for the roles they played in killing Cato a year-and-a-half ago. Stringfield even said he hopes doing some time and going to prison will give the family some relief.

Toward the end of sentencing, Cato's family took the stand, asking the judge to give them life in prison.

"We've finally gotten to a point where we can try to move forward, keep moving forward, and this is another step in moving forward," Drew's father, Andy Cato, said. "We got several steps to go, but this is a a big step for us in moving forward."

Virginia Reynolds, Wolfe's mother, is also charged in Cato's case. She was indicted on charges of concealing a death. Her case will be handled separately.
